So it seems The Incredible Hulk has been confirmed to appear in Thor: Ragnarok. With that being said, could this mean that this will some how lead to a Planet Hulk movie? For those of you not familiar with the Planet Hulk comic book story arc here’s a quick little break down. Planet Hulk was a 14 issue run written by Greg Pak that started in 2006. A small group of super heroes that called themselves the Illuminati shoot Hulk into space after deeming him too dangerous to stay on earth. Hulk then crash lands on a war torn planet where he’s captured and forced to fight in a gladiator style arena. The story is vaguely similar to that of the Russell Crowe’s 2000 film Gladiator. Now Thor Ragnarok obviously is not taking place on Earth so we know now that Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) is somehow taken to Asgard after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Although Marvel Studios have not confirmed a Planet Hulk movie and president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige has said there are no plans as of yet, I do believe that this is the direction its heading in! Just my opinion of course. Phase 3 of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) will start next year with Captain America: Civil War coming out in May 6, 2016. So if there is a Planet Hulk coming its safe to say that it wont be until a phase 4. Never the less I will be waiting (impatiently) for news to drop! So until next time,

“see you at the movies”
