The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 is the 4th and final installment in the series that started in 2012 with The Hunger Games followed by Catching Fire (2013) and Mockingjay Part 1 (2014). Starting off where the previous film left off, the emotion between Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) is quickly established. With a somewhat slow starting story there seem to be a very uneven flow, with moments of intense action to calm dialogue story telling and back to intense action. The action scenes don’t disappoint, unfortunately there undermined by its story telling moments which take you right out of the action. Towards the final act the movie seems to lose all steam and becomes very predictable. With the story seeming to drag on it lost some of its emotion with some key character moments feeling rushed, with that being said it did close out the story in a very satisfying way. If your a fan of the books you might enjoy this final installment a little more. Although a decent film it seems to have lost its “Hunger” in my opinion. Making this movie a low 6!
